Welcome baby Vivian!

At 41 weeks, our newest and third baby.... a GIRL (!) decided to make her appearance! Vivian Taylor Terreri was born at 1:16 am on August 24 weighing in at 8 lbs 7 oz and 19.5 inches long. Her birth was nothing short of a spectacle -- we arrived in our room at 12:50 am and she was born less than 30 minutes later! Despite the lightning fast speed, it was an incredible experience (you can read the full account here: http://givingbirthwithconfidence.org/2011/08/a-birth-story-cara-baby-vivian/) and we were so surprised that we, in fact, had a little girl. Jason and I were pretty well convinced that we would be having a third boy to complete our family. But we couldn't be more thrilled with our sweet little baby girl.

First day of school!

This year, Evan started kindergarten and Grant started early preschool at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church. The boys were so excited -- and I am thrilled! PS: At this point, I am 5 days past my official due date. I was thankful to make it to the boys' first day of school, but c'mon baby, any day now!

"How I Spent My Summer"

If there was one word that described the summer of 2011 for us, it would be: "pool." We've averaged about 3 trips a week to the pool. And more often than not, at least one of the boys' friends join us. More recently, the boys and their friends have been making little picnics during adult swim time. It's so cute -- they all pool their food together and sit and share with each other.

Home Depot workshop

For the last couple of months, we have been taking both boys to the Home Depot workshop. They get a small pre-fab kit, instructions and tools to put it together. Oh, and perhaps the most exciting part, they get a snack after they complete it. This weekend's project was a wooden pencil box. Tai and Yuki joined us before we all spent a day at the pool.
