Mending

Pictures, pictures

While I have [maybe] five minutes before the boys wake up, I thought I'd post some pictures from our trip last weekend to Hilton Head.


The star of the weekend's visit: Baby Sebastian, Evan & Grant's cousin

Despite high winds, G&G Terreri took Evan to the beach where he learned about sea gulls.

At G&G Terreri's house, Evan plays with vintage toys from days of yore.

And he gets to eat ice cream. Chocolate ice cream.

And on this trip to Hilton Head, we went on what I'm calling the "Three Hour Tour" on our friend Kevin's Willy Wonka boat. Would have been a perfect trip. Except the motor failed. And the last hour was spent paddling.

But we had fun anyway. Evan had lots of fun.

Grant had fun. Except for the last hour.

Date night

Evan & I had our first-ever date night this past weekend. I took him to go see a local high school performance of Beauty & the Beast. This kid just loves music and he's watched Beauty & the Beast a time or two, so he's familiar with the story. He was completely enthralled with the live performance. He sat still through all two-and-a-half-hours of it! Even I was getting antsy and tired! And apart from a few well-timed outbursts (like, "Ok, go!" when the theatre was completely silent and we were waiting for the show to start. all of the rows in the front end burst into laughter, so it was ok.), Evan behaved excellently.

Besides the fact that I just love this picture of Grant, it also showcases the many hand-me-downs from Evan (from the tip of his toes to the top of his head, and toys too!) (that was way too much alliteration, sorry; it's late).
