Bundled baby
Like most of the rest of the U.S. right now, it is COLD here! Yesterday was a low of 18 F with a high of 42 F. Aren't we supposed to be in the South? I mistakenly thought that meant warmer weather. Evan dressed the part yesterday morning when we went out for an appointment. His cute little bomber jacket was a present from Grandpa & Grandma Taylor.

My favorite picture
This is my favorite recent picture. It truly captures Evan's personality and attitude. It also captures his newest trick-- hamming it up for the camera.

Shiny metal objects
There are just a few things that really motivate Evan to army crawl across the room-- Bullit's collar is one of them. Unfortunately, Evan doesn't yet know that Bullit is a moving target. This has been really funny to watch.
Evan's newest target...
Must... get... Bullit's... collar!
Mission accomplished.
Evan's newest target...
Already a heartbreaker
Last week, Evan and I drove to see my friend Heather, her husband Andy and their daughter Isabella in their new house just north of Atlanta. While she is a slightly older woman, Evan gave it his best shot to attract Isabella's attention. He did his best "look how cute I am" impression and brought her a cuddly stuffed toy. His charms must have worked because by the time we left, she had smothered him with hugs and kisses.

Let the games begin...
Now that college football season (and Christmas) is over, we felt it was safe to post the following picture:

As many of you know, the extended Terreri family are HUGE Notre Dame fans.* Well, the Taylor and Opperman side are equally big Purdue fans. Unfortunately, Evan is now caught in the middle of this broiling rivalry. All we can hope for is that once he's old enough to understand, he'll make an educated choice (with Mommy's help and suggestions).
*Not mentioned here are the additional loyalties to Virginia Tech. Evan also is a Hokie fan.

Evan updates
Just a few updated pics since Christmas. Evan's stats at 7 months are 21.6 lbs. and 29 in. He's starting to "creep" on the floor to get to his toys, so it's only a matter of time before we install baby gates... Evan has 4, possibly 6 teeth all coming in on the top, front. This is in addition to his 4 teeth on the bottom! Won't be long before he's eating corn on the cobb. .JPG)
