So many pictures, so little time

Grant spends a lot of time these days on his play mat, batting toys, cooing and squealing, and playing on his tummy. Can you believe he is 12 weeks old already?

This picture reminds me of a similar picture of Evan.

Evan likes to join him on the mat.

Here we have a picture of the infamous "suckers for poo poo." We've gone through a lot of suckers lately. Evan is doing so well with potty training.

And I leave you with a picture of Bullit--up close and personal.

Potty update

No pictures (do you really want to see pics of this?), just an update to say that Evan is about 93% complete with potty training. He's near perfect when it comes to pee pee in the potty. He wears big boy underwear all day except naps and bedtime (and even then he usually stays dry). And the other 7% is.... well, you know.... we're working on it. The latest trick is to bribe him with suckers. The words "suckers for poo poo" have been said in this house a lot lately. Gross, I know, but when it works, it's great.

Potty Diaries: Day 2

Two great accomplishments happened yesterday: poo-poo in the potty, and pee-pee in a public potty! Yay!

Potty Diaries: Day 1

Today was the first official day of potty training in the Terreri house. Remember back when I said I was going to try to start to potty train Evan? Yeah, well my senses got the better of me when I realized that being hugely pregnant and potty training a toddler would not be fun. After today, with about 45 trips to the bathroom, I'm glad I waited.

In all, the day went pretty smooth. I set a timer to take Evan to the potty every 10 or 15 minutes. He wore real underwear (no pull-ups)... and nothing else. I thought that the less clothes he wore, the easier it might be. He had about 5 accidents, which considering he went about 30+ times, those aren't bad stats. I will spare you the details of what happened with #2, but suffice to say that it wasn't a complete success. Jason was fortunate enough to be at home when that happened.

To be fair and give equal attention to Grant in this subject area, today marks the first day he moved up to size 2 diapers. Aww.

Stay tuned for up-to-the-minute progress on Evan's potty training trials.
