Nana comes to visit

And boy did we have fun! The boys loved having her here (and I LOVED having her help -- and company). The best part of her visit, according to Evan, was when she took them to pick out their own Christmas gift. Nana's visit allowed these weary parents of three kids to go out on New Year's Eve -- what a treat! And considering we came home to a wailing baby at 1 a.m., we owe her big!

A visit to Hilton Head

Vivian's first trip to HHI. She did NOT sleep well, but we did have a great visit. And we captured some good family photos. Grandma Soon surprised the boys with nearly 10,000 legos to play with (saved from Jason's childhood) -- they were entertained the whole time! Papa treated us to a 3D viewing of The Lion King, which the boys enjoyed.

Vivian - week 1

Week one at home was a whirlwind, for sure. Not only did Grandma Soon & Papa visit, but the very next day, Papa T, Grandma T and Aunt Alex came to visit for the week. Then at the end of the week, Aunt Amanda, Uncle Clint and Cousin Ethan came for a quick visit! It certainly made for a smooth transition into parenthood x3, with help cooking, cleaning and older-kid-entertaining. We were sad to see them leave!

Easter 2011

We spent Easter again this year in Hilton Head and as always, had a great time soaking up the sun and enjoying time with grandparents. Evan rekindled his love of the water both at the pool and in the ocean -- he got really good at riding the boogie board. Our camera was on the fritz, so we have but just one picture from our trip.

Gifts that make a lasting impression

Thank you, Grandma Soon & Papa.

Christmas 2010 round-up

The holidays must have swallowed me alive, but rest assured, I'm here are ready to tackle the new year! Or something like that. To catch you up, a few photos from Christmas happenings. In short, we had a wonderful Christmas and were treated to fun visits from grandparents (which helped the 2.5 week break SO much more enjoyable).

Fun with packing peanuts. Thank you FedEx.

Trip-or-Treat

Grant's favorite thing to say on Halloween this year? "Trip or Treat!" The boys both enjoyed collecting candy this year and the loot was plentiful. Despite my alternate suggestions, Evan chose to dress as Superman. And in spite of changing his mind 15 times, Grant dressed as his original choice, Woody from Toy Story. We were treated to a visit from Nana (my mom) to enjoy the festivities (and sift through the candy in search of Reeses Cups). Like any decent Peachtree City resident, we traveled from house to house via golf cart caravan. These kids are lucky. When I was their age, I had to WALK to get my candy. Oh, the humanity!

The desk

There are a handful of things I owned and treasured as a child that my Grandma saved back to give to me later in life -- and I am so happy that she did.

Grandparent photos and outtakes

It's hard to get everyone to cooperate for pictures these days! Thankfully, Grandpa settled down after a few takes.

Another year, another birthday

Last weekend I celebrated my 31st birthday and was lucky enough to do it in Hilton Head while visiting Grandma Soon & Papa. Why "lucky" you ask? Because we had our own private villa (condo) above our in-laws' place and were given the gift of 3 child-free mornings (plus a few evenings out)! The kids, of course, had an exhaustingly wonderful time, vacillating between trips to the beach, pool and bed with a few pauses inbetween for nutrition. We returned home a little more tan and a little less stressed. (PS: all pics were taken with my new DSLR b-day present, thanks J!)

(Condensation on the lens... it was HOT in HH!)

Evan learned to use a boogie board and LOVED it! By the time we left, he was a pro. Grant didn't ride any waves but instead dragged his "boat" around by its leash.

Wipeout!

Grandma Soon w. Cousin Sebastian.

Not sure of the thought process here, but Grant enjoyed putting his face in a hole that Evan dug.
