Evan is creative. He's always creating something new. And everything he creates has a purpose and a story. And usually, tape. Lots of tape. I can't remember the story behind this creation, but rest assured, there is one.

Holiday prep
Two projects in one: rainy day painting activity & making our own festive wrapping paper for Christmas! I think we'll make this a yearly tradition -- I just love how it turned out.
(PS: The outfit on Evan, ie, the hat, was a result of Jason's creative humor after making a paint smock. And why we only made Evan wear a paint smock, I have no idea. Not smart.)

Mending
This picture is for my Grandma to show her Evan's newly mended and lengthened jeans. Apparently I can only get away with this for a couple more years before it becomes way uncool to mend jeans with boyishly cute fabric.

Watch out Martha
I go through phases where I get really crafty. I'm thick in the middle of one of those phases. In the hopper are Christmas stockings for the boys, an advent calendar, burp cloths and more pairs of baby legs. Recently completed is what you see below. It was spurred by my obsession with Grant's profile. Now, this isn't "true" silhouette art (those people have real talent!); I did cut them out, but I had a little help from my digital camera and photo editing software. Still, I think they look pretty cool and my plan is to re-do them every few years.

The cutest little Baby Legs
If you're in the baby circuit, you may already know about Baby Legs. If not, essentially, they're leg warmers for baby that are both fashionable and functional. They're great for the cool but not-too-cold weather, great because you can change a diaper and not have to take them off, great for crawling on hard-surface floors, etc, etc. Anyway, we received a free pair with our hospital bag and I tried them on Grant for the first time a couple of days ago. They're so cool! And since they retail for $12 a pair (!), I researched a way to make them on my own. Turns out, you can turn any pair of knee socks into a pair of Baby Legs. Below is the result of my efforts at the sewing machine. For $1.06 per pair, I'd say they're not too shabby!
