Grant has effectively taught Vivian to play hide & go seek. Of course, she's always the counter (she can go to 11!), but she doesn't care.

Silly dress day
That time of year again! Silly dress day at preschool. Grant follows in the footsteps of some pretty kooky outfits worn by Evan. Grant tried this morning to convince me that it was also silly dress for the moms -- that his teacher "said so." That kid is always trying to trick me. Oh, what am I in for in the years to come?

Tales from Grant
As told by his father, while hiking during a camping trip:
G: [whining about being tired] Daddy, will you hold my arm?
J: Hold you arm? Why?
G: So I can suck my thumb while you hold onto me!
In the car:
G: Mom, I can buckle all by myself now.
C: Really, let me see!
G: See!
C: Wow, in one whole week you learned how to buckle yourself!
G: Yeah. I'm still 4.

Grant, full of personality
Grant is full of personality. The adjective "spritely" comes to mind. You can often find him doing funny little things around the house. Exhibits A & B, below.

The Christmas program
For the last two years since Evan began the preschool program, he has participated in the yearly Christmas program. But up until this year, he has only participated in the singing portion of the program. This year, however, he was in kindergarten, which meant that he got to take part in the Christmas story play. His role..... wait for it.... wait for it..... Puppeteer #3! I know, I know. We were just thrilled. He remembered all of his lines and performed like the natural born star that he is.
Grant, now that he is in 3-year-old preschool, also took part in the program as part of the choir. This is what Grant looked like:
We were so proud.

The things we do to our children
In the name of holidays... Homemade reindeer shirts, hats, candy striped leggings. You know, just another day around our house during the month of December!

Grant the Barbarian
We have a bin full of dress up/pretend items and Grant really takes well to playing the part -- from warrior to Transformer, he's your man for the job.

Artwork
Thanksgiving art from the boys. I especially like Evan's thankful wheel. Not sure if the answers were "prompted," but love it nonetheless.

Pow wow
We've come full circle. Grant is now in the early 3 year old preschool and going through the same events that Evan once did. Today was the Pow Wow in recognition of Thanksgiving.

Buddies
Because of Evan's 5-days-a-week school schedule, Grant and Vivian spend more time together throughout the week. And because of that, I get to snap cute pictures like this one.
