Scene: Me with the kids, driving in the car.

Evan: Mom, when I turn 10, I don't want to have beer or tomatoes... or lettuce.
Me: Ok, you don't have to.

So many thoughts on this one...
Clearly, Evan's picked up on our staple diet of Bud Light and salad!
Is 10 the new 21?
Who in their right mind would group beer in the same category as vegetables? Not me, no sir!

Another year, another birthday

Last weekend I celebrated my 31st birthday and was lucky enough to do it in Hilton Head while visiting Grandma Soon & Papa. Why "lucky" you ask? Because we had our own private villa (condo) above our in-laws' place and were given the gift of 3 child-free mornings (plus a few evenings out)! The kids, of course, had an exhaustingly wonderful time, vacillating between trips to the beach, pool and bed with a few pauses inbetween for nutrition. We returned home a little more tan and a little less stressed. (PS: all pics were taken with my new DSLR b-day present, thanks J!)

Evan learned to use a boogie board and LOVED it! By the time we left, he was a pro. Grant didn't ride any waves but instead dragged his "boat" around by its leash.

Happy 4th!

We attended the July 4th Peachtree City parade this morning. Nothing like buckets full of candy before 10am! The kids crashed by noon.
