Not to be forgotten

Yes, I will document my pregnancy with baby #3! Many have asked if I am showing. I would certainly say yes. The picture below doesn't reveal how big I actually feel for only being 15 weeks, but nonetheless, there is a visible "bump." So far, I'm feeling good as I enter fully into the 2nd trimester. No nausea, less tired (but still exhausted-- which is totally normal for me; have you met my 2 boys?). I think I'm starting to feel very tiny baby movements. The boys continue to be excited about the baby. Evan seems to remember each time he hugs me as his head rests right on my belly. Grant continually points at my stomach and tells me there is a baby in there. Evan is convinced it is a girl and Grant too says he wants a "gworl." I tell them both to get in line-- seems as though most people are hoping for a girl. Pity the poor boy that is born in August! I will love him just the same.

Cousins come to visit

Last week we had a unique opportunity to spend a whole week with two of Evan & Grant's cousins-- Sebastian and Declan, oh and Aunt Kim & Uncle Shane too. The boys got to know each other better (by the end of the week, Evan stopped asking, "Which one is Declan?") and the adults got a chance to catch up.

Mid-week, G&G Terreri stopped in to visit and we celebrated a couple of February birthdays in the family.

Many popsicles were consumed.

The pantry-- a favorite spot for all kids who visit our house.

Oh looky what I caught on camera-- Evan stabbing his brother, yippee!

Grant and the bear face off at Noah's Ark.

Celebrating Aunt Kim & Grandma Soon's birthdays, not to mention the 4 other family birthdays in February!

Thumb-sucking cousins.

Banana hat

No idea. Just looked up and this is what I found.

Circus Day 2011

Evan again had Circus Day at his school. He got to dress mismatched and learn all things circus. While I find it slightly odd that school curriculum teaches (maybe glorifies?) the circus, the dressing up part is fun.

Grant didn't learn about the circus, but wanted to get in on the funny face posing.

What's one more?

Third time's a charm.

Three strikes, you're out.

Three's company.

However you want to frame it, we're having our third baby! Yep, we're taking the plunge into crazy family bliss and moving beyond the textbook 2 kids & dog. A third child was not in the original Terreri family plan. In fact, I was so uber-convinced that I would never want more than two children, nor could I handle the chaos (the latter is yet to be determined), that I got rid of practically all of my baby and maternity gear. "One, two and done!" I proclaimed. But somewhere along the way, after Grant got a little older, I had an overwhelming feeling of not being done. Jason, however, did not share the same feeling. So we discussed and mulled the idea over for a few months before deciding to go for it. And while he occasionally still says, "Really, a third?" we're both so happy to be adding to the family.

I'm due in mid-August and am 12 weeks along. Feeling good, but freakin' exhausted. Who thought pregnancy + 2 kids under 5 was a good idea? Am hoping to combat the tiredness with my new prenatal Pilates class, walking and swimming.

Oh, and to answer the popular question: No, we are not finding out the gender. We loved being surprised with Evan and can't wait to do it again.

We'll keep you posted!
