Jason and I went out for dinner last night to our local Italian restaurant, Valentino's. I ordered eggplant parmesan, which I don't usually get but really like. It's a small, family-owned restaurant and so the owner came by our table to make small talk. Noticing that I am very pregnant and was eating eggplant, he asked if I was trying to have the baby soon. Apparently, eggplant is known to kick-start labor. Whether it's an old wives' tale or not, there are some Italian restuarants that have pictures on their walls of what they call "eggplant babies." To date, Valentino's has had four. You can be sure to find me at Valentino's frequently in the next few weeks!
It's hard [for me] to believe, but I will be 36 weeks pregnant (9 months) this Thursday. As of

today, I am one month out from my due date of June 8. Of course, I've recently told everyone that I'm shooting for May 30. I'm hoping a steady diet of eggplant will help out... Things are still going very well. There are times when I feel
really uncomfortable, but thankfully it's not constant. I've included another belly pic (maybe my last?!) for your viewing pleasure. I'm amazed at the size of this thing! Jason's comment is always, "freaky." He has such a way with words.
Thankfully, from now until d-day, we have no more weekends of traveling or events, etc. It has been a very busy last few months, so it will be nice to stay at home and wait for the baby.
