It's beginning to look a lot like....

Christmas! While there's no sign of the white stuff, there are plenty of signs around here to tell you that Christmas is coming.

1. My hand-sewn, vintage button advent calendar (see tutorial here) is finished! At around 11pm on Nov. 30, I stuffed the last pocket and hung it on the mantle with care. Evan luh-uh-ves it. Chocolate every night before bed? How could he not?

2. We bought our Christmas tree! Per the Dec. 1 tradition, we drug our two children out--one who was blowing snot and one who was at least an hour past his bedtime--and bought a tree.

3. Found a 4 inch piece of aforementioned tree branch protruding from the mouth of my crawling babe.

4. Christmas music. I thought it would be fun to introduce Evan to one of our Christmas CDs. Now it's: "Play Christmas, Mommy?" "Play Christmas, Mommy?" "Play Christmas, Mommy?" Curses for "fun" ideas!

I love the crafty calendar! I think I will make one this year for next! That is soo cute! Let Evan hear the "barking" jingle bells...it's so great when he will learn the tune, and bark it all the time......so much that you find yourself barking it...haha!!arf arf arf!
